You'll need
  • A pinch of dried rosemary
  • Coarse salt
  • A small dish or saucer
Method
  1. Mix rosemary and salt in the dish.
  2. Set it just inside the front door, or trace a thin line of the mix across the threshold.
  3. Sweep it away and renew monthly.

Iron Nail Ward

You'll need
  • One old iron nail
  • Black thread
  • A windowsill
Method
  1. Wrap the nail in thread nine times, naming what you want kept out.
  2. Set it on the windowsill, point facing outward.
  3. Leave undisturbed until it feels finished.
Best: any Tuesday, dusk

You'll need
  • A small stone or coin
  • A pinch of clove

Method

Method
